Description

This 8mm T2.8 fisheye prime is part of Zeiss's Ultra Prime series, producing a strongly curved, distorted field of view rather than the rectilinear rendering of the rest of the Ultra Prime set. Its 134mm front diameter suits standard mattebox use, and it shares the Ultra Prime line's consistent, largely neutral color science for easy matching with rectilinear Ultra Primes on the same shoot. Its extreme wide angle suits specialty establishing shots and immersive-style coverage where a conventional wide lens can't capture the same field of view. The PL mount fits directly onto most cinema cameras in our fleet. It suits productions wanting a deliberate fisheye look that still matches an Ultra Prime set's color rendering.
