Description

This monochrome variant of the DSMC1 platform uses the Mysterium-X sensor without a Bayer color filter, capturing higher resolution and sensitivity per pixel than the standard color sensor. It's built for productions shooting black-and-white footage natively, or combining monochrome and color cameras for stylized visual effects work. The RED lens mount and REDCODE RAW recording carry over from the standard Mysterium-X cameras. It suits music videos, commercials and narrative work built around a black-and-white visual style. It pairs well with RED-mount primes and PL-adapted cine lenses from our fleet.
