Ancient Optics Voigtlander Zoomar 36-82mm T3.1 Ø136 GL Optics Rehouse
Description
This vintage Voigtlander Zoomar 36-82mm zoom has been rehoused by GL Optics into a cine-ready housing with geared focus and iris rings and a 136mm front diameter. Originally one of the first commercially available zoom lenses, it carries a distinctive vintage rendering with lower contrast and unique flare characteristics compared to modern optics. The rehousing adds standard 0.8 mod gearing for follow focus systems and mattebox compatibility, while preserving the lens's original optical formula. It's used by productions seeking an authentic vintage zoom look rather than a digitally recreated one. It suits period pieces, music videos and experimental work where optical imperfection is part of the look.
