AJA HD10MD3 HD To SD Digital Downconverter

Description

This downconverter takes an HD-SDI signal and outputs it as standard-definition SDI, letting HD sources feed into legacy SD equipment such as older switchers, recorders or monitors. It's used when a production needs to deliver or monitor on SD infrastructure despite shooting or distributing in HD. Multiple aspect ratio conversion modes let the operator choose how the HD frame is fit into the SD output. Standard BNC connectors keep it compatible with common broadcast video chains. It suits broadcast and archival workflows that still rely on SD equipment somewhere in the signal path.
